"Community Sledding Party -Cancelled

Saturday February 18th 2012  1:00PM- 3:00

The sledding party has been cancelled due to lack of snow. Next year!"

Can't sled in February in Vermont? That's not right. I suppose there'll be no Sugar on Snow suppers either.

That is sad. I've always imagined Vermont with thick white snow, and blood (dried) red barns. And of course oodles of maple trees turning bright red and orange in all seasons.

Sorry?

WTH is Sugar on Snow?

Please don't tell me you scatter granulated sugar on snow and eat it?

Well that is a shame. Vermont with no snow and no tobagganing. I am assuming that sugar on snow is referring to the age old tradition of pouring the maple syrup on snow and letting it harden to a delightful sticky confection? Maybe a few buckets of crushed ice cubes would do the trick.

TSB- well you've got a lot of it right. Covered bridges should be in there, and a few cows. And aging hippies. Sugar on Snow is Maple Syrup over fresh snow. We've got the syrup part anyway. Maybe somebody's got an ice shaver...

Lawless- it's pitiful. There isn't enough snow to make a Barbie-sized snowman.
Yep, you got it. But we won't.

And I left a comment on your post, your captchas are gone, too.
Besides, I don't like being told to prove I'm not a robot by a robot.
