May 1st, the Holiday of Holidays

Today is Beltane, a big day in the Pagan calendar. It's also May Day, the real Labor Day for the whole world and a day of commemorating the Haymarket Martyrs in US history. If you don't know about the Haymarket, start reading with this, it's mostly correct and you can take it from there:

To think that about half a million workers of this country went on strike all at the same time is an inspiration to me. And as always in this country, a successful protest movement resulted in the deaths of citizens by the State. Anyone remember Kent State?

Celebrate, remember, don't mourn. Organize.
